Chicken Oriental

Last night I went to see Franky & the Chinamen play at the Carling Academy. They play a kind of oriental jazz-funk, and between each song, the various band members simulate some martial arts moves, some of which Bruce Lee would be proud to call his own. For the encore, they re-enact a key scene from Enter the Dragon. All in all, entertaining stuff.

Franky's story is quite an interesting one - born and raised in Hong Kong, he was forced to come over to Glasgow after a run-in with the local Triads. Armed with a suitcase of money, he enrolled at Glasgow University, and studied Civil Engineering. Once he graduated, he then decided to form a band, and hence F.A.T.C. were born.
