The Shining
As you well know, my blog lately has descended into CRAM madness. I'll try and be a bit more sensible with the posts, but be warned, if I can't think of anything worthwhile to say, I'll post random shite!
I'm now living in a place called Burnside, which is a good compromise between Glasgow and East Kilbride. Contrary to what I said before (which was sarcasm, by the way), I don't really like E.K. and would rather be working in the city. Never mind, the job's still not bad. I've got a lot of creative freedom and responsibility, compared to most jobs I can think of, and so that's obviously good. Me and the others have taken up jogging round Calderglen Country Park on Mon, Wed, Fri lunchtimes, which is quite enjoyable, and a good way to get some exercise. We've been generally lucky with the weather.
The commute is now about 30 mins door-to-door, instead of 90 mins! This makes a huge difference and life is much easier now I don't have to commute so much. The place I'm living in is not a flat, but a brand new 6-bedroom house. Only 2 rooms are currently occupied, by myself and a guy and his wife. The guy is a professor of Maths at Strathclyde uni. At the moment, the other 4 bedrooms are empty and so the house is very quiet. In fact, at night, when no-one else is in, it reminds me a bit of The Shining.
ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES DUNC A DULL BOY.
...etc...
